The Darwin Entertainment Centre’s many spaces can
be used for a wide variety of purposes, from stage
spectaculars to conferences and conventions, small
meetings and functions, art and trade exhibitions,
rehearsals and classes. Variety and flexibility
are key features of the Centre and our experienced
staff are on hand to ensure the success of your
event.
The Darwin Entertainment Centre houses two theatres,
the Playhouse and the Studio, as well as a Rehearsal
Room, dressing rooms and other backstage facilities.
Designed to house major visiting professional companies
as well as local amateur groups, the Centre can
accommodate almost any kind of performance, from
stage musicals to intimate revues.

A traditional proscenium arch theatre, The Playhouse
seats between 981 and 1050 (depending on configuration)
and can be reduced in size to seat 412 in the stalls
only (using the running curtain under the dress circle).
The rake of the auditorium, good sight lines and superb
acoustics make every seat ‘the best in the house’.
No standing room is permitted. 
The
Box Office is the premier ticketing agency in Darwin
and tickets all shows at the Centre, as well as
providing ticketing services to outside events and
ticket printing services.
