Venue Information

Adult, concession and child tickets may be purchased from this website.  To book family tickets please call 08 8980 3333 or visit the Darwin Entertainment Box Office at 93 Mitchell Street, Darwin. Tickets can also be purchased at our ticketing outlets at Casuarina (Customer Service Desk, Casuarina Square), Palmerston (Oasis News and Lotto) and Darwin city (Tourism Top End Visitor Information Centre). The Box Office is selling tickets to the Commonwealth Bank Series One Day International matches between Australia and Bangladesh only. For information on other tour matches forming part of the 2008 Commonwealth Bank Series please click here. Tickets to all other matches will be available at the ground on the day of play.

Tickets booked online will be available for collection from the Darwin Entertainment Centre Box Office between 10:00am and 5:30pm Monday to Friday, or from the Southern Gate at TIO Stadium from 8:00am on the days of play. If you wish to have tickets mailed to you, please book through the Box Office on 08) 8980 3333.

Ticket prices are set by Cricket Australia and include GST and Darwin Entertainment Centre booking fees. Please note prices exclude mailing fees and service fees.

All tickets sold are subject to Cricket Australia's 2008 Ticket Refund Policy and 2008 Conditions of Entry to the Venue.

Ticketing Information
Seating Categories: There are two different seating categories available to patrons:
1. Grandstand seating - Assigned seating in the grey, green and red bays of the grandstand.
2. General Admission - The general admission section covers the grassy banks at the venue. This area runs from the Northern end of the grandstand around past the scoreboard through to the grandstand at the southern end of the ground.
Adults: Adults (full price) are 16 years and over
Children: Applicable to children aged 15 or under. Children aged 5 or under are admitted free of charge provided they do not take up a dedicated seat in the Grandstand. 
Concession:

Defined as anyone 16 years and over with the following:

  • Pensioner Concession Card
  • Health Care Card
  • Territory Seniors Card
  • Commonwealth Senior Health Card
  • Student Card (full time only).
  • Unemployment Health Care cards are not accepted. Concession ticket holders will be required to provide ID and present their concession card at the point of purchase and to gain entrance to the ground. The promoter reserves the right to refuse entry to concession ticket holders who cannot produce applicable ID at the gate.

    Family 4: 2 adults and 2 children aged 15 or under. Members of this group do not have to be related.
    Carers:

    In the event that a mobility impaired patron is unable to attend without being accompanied by a carer, the carer can qualify for a ticket at the concession price. Concession tickets are available for one carer per mobility impaired patron upon presentation of a Carer’s Card.

    Ticket Collection

    Tickets booked and paid for over the telephone (through the Box Office) or online can be collected either from the Box Office between 10:00am and 5:30pm weekdays or from the venue on the days of the event. A prepaid ticket collection booth will operate from the Southern Gate ONLY from 8:00am on the morning of each day’s play.

    The credit card holder must collect the tickets and show the credit card used to purchase the tickets as well as applicable concession cards and online booking confirmation email and must sign for the charge upon collection.

    Venue Information
    Venue:

    TIO Stadium, Abala Road, Marrara

    The venue offers reserved seating in the grandstand or general admission seating on the grassy banks. On the day patrons with general admission tickets can choose whether they would like to sit in a wet (licensed) area or the MILO Familyzone which will be located at the northern end of the ground. Patrons will not be admitted into the MILO Familyzone if they are carrying alcohol or are intoxicated.

    Gates Open Gates open 8.00am
    Hours of Play One Day International matches:
  • 1st Innings: 9:30am - 1:00pm
  • Innings break: 1:00pm - 1:45pm
  • 2nd Innings: 1:45pm - 5:15pm

  • Food & Drink

    Food and non-alcoholic beverages are permitted into the venue, however glass and cans are not permitted. A wide variety of food and drink concession stands will be located around the ground for purchase. Please see the Conditions of Entry to the Venue for further information on what is permitted into the ground.

    Alcohol cannot be brought into the ground. Grandstand patrons can purchase alcohol from the bar on Level 2 of the Grandstand or one of the many public bars located around the venue. General Admission patrons can purchase alcohol to consume in the wet area only. 

    Seating restrictions

    Grandstand - Patrons with grandstand tickets will be required to store eskies, prams, pushers, bags and all other belongings under their seats.

    General Admission - Patrons holding General Admission tickets are permitted to take collapsible seats and stools of a suitable size (refer Conditions of Entry to the Venue) or rugs to sit on.  Tents or shade covering devices will not be allowed into the ground.

    Bag Searches

    Patrons should have their bags open and ready for inspection once they have entered through the gates. Patrons should be aware of this to allow enough time on arrival to the venue to have their bags searched.

    Patrons who refuse to have their bags inspected may be refused entry to the ground.

    The following items are permitted into the venue:
  • Food
  • Non-alcoholic beverages
  • Collapsible chairs and stools
  • Prams & Pushers
  • Cameras
  • The following items are NOT permitted into the venue:

  • Glass
  • Alcohol
  • Cans
  • Eskies of larger dimensions than 35cm (h) x 20cm (w) x 30cm (l)
  • Tents & shade covering devices
  • Bicycles, skateboards and scooters (cyclists will be requested to leave bikes locked at the gates)
  • Animals
  • Firearms, weapons, fireworks or other items deemed or considered dangerous.

    Smoking Smoking is prohibited in all parts of the ground except in the designated areas
    Accessible Seating:

    Disabled seating and wheelchair bays in the grandstand are located along the top of the grandstand in Row A of sections Grey 4, Green 2 and Red 1. All patrons requiring special needs seat allocations in these areas should contact the Darwin Entertainment Centre Box Office on 08) 8980 3333.

    The General Admissions area will be wheelchair accessible, however patrons should be aware that these areas are grassy, on a mound and are uneven.

    Disabled Access:

    Disabled access to the grandstand is through the Northern or Southern Gates and via the elevator located underneath the grandstand next to the AFLNT office.

    Car parking & taxi rank:

    A number of car parks will be open, details of which will be advertised in the NT News in the lead up to the event. The taxi drop off and pick up area will be at the Bonson (south) gate.
